I have hair, no issues and i hear wigs. I like it. And I love telling people It's a wig .

I love this conversation. For every reason you mentioned, I wear them for the same reason. I was so tired of going to Ulta and spending tons of $$ on new products that didn't work. I did not want to color my already fine hair to give it volume which would just damage it. I got tired of sleeping in rollers and waking up exhausted only to have the curls go flat in humid weather. Lastly, when I wear them, I feel like I am in my 20s again, and anything is possible. Thank you, Julia for this segment! PS. Love your kitchen!

Hi Julia, All my life I never had nice hair. I didn’t know what to do with it and it always took away from my looks even when I was young. And then to top it off over 15 years ago, I was devastated when I noticed that my hair was thinning on the top . So I started the wig journey by myself and for the first 10 years I was learning about wigs on my own. Fortunately I met up with all of you Wig Sisters about 5 years ago. So what was once one of the worst experiences in my life has turned into a blessing. Now in my late 60s I have fabulous looking hair, with modern blunt cuts, (if I am wearing that hair that day lol), and beautiful expensive looking highlights, that I never had when I was younger. I also love deciding what my hair ‘look’ & color I’ll wear that day depending on my mood. What a wonderful journey it has been, I only wish I started wearing wigs in my 20s, but I’m thrilled I have them now. I don’t care if anyone comments on all of my hair colors, lengths, & textures. Wigs are my fabulous accessory, and I want to spread the word to all women how they have changed my life. Frankly fabulous hair automatically takes 10 years off and how fun is that. 😄 My thoughts on your friend is that she has hair envy. My guess is that she cannot accept the fact that your hair looks better than hers in spite of everything she does. I have seen that with people who have had great hair all of their lives and then in their 50s that is not the case. They can’t accept that ‘fake’ hair looks better than theirs. Anyway, you go girl, you are gorgeous, love your fabulous hair, & your fantastic reviews! Hugs, 🥰♥️

Yeah I've heard that but my hair is quite thin (i don't have alopecia), and its easy and beautiful and quick to throw on a wig that instantly is a huge plus to my look. Its helped with relationships, jobs, etc. And you can quickly have different styles, lengths and colors at your fingertips. So when they say "you look fine" (which is actually a double entendre) with out it, thank but wearing it really makes a difference in public. And once you accept it as "okay to wear wigs" it will change your life. If you feel "this is my natural hair and its not okay to wear a wig" then it limits you. Its perfectly okay to wear one, and it makes a giant difference. Honestly I'll see a woman with very thin and poor quality hair, and I'll think I wish she knew how wonderful it is to wear wigs, but of course I don't say that. And I think its a self-esteem thing too. I deserve to look beautiful ALL the time... ;) And here i am getting ready for work and sometimes I'm running late, and I'm super glad I can have beautiful hair in 5 minutes. I highly recommend it.

Julia, I agree with every word you said. I battled my biohair for years. I still have it, but it is still hard to style the way I like hair to look. It is shoulder length and so fine that it is easy to pin up underneath my wigs. I am now wearing mostly human hair wigs, low density, because they look and feel exactly like my biohair but better. They have made my life so much easier. If we like nice shoes, jewelry, clothing, makeup, etc., and those things enhance our appearance and give us confidence, why oh why do people think wigs are so different? And, frankly, I don't like people commenting that way. It's personal! No one asks about my underwear, nor would I. It's rude and can make people feel self-conscious. I hope my wigs look natural so we can all forget about my hair and concentrate on more important topics. 💕

I wish I had started wearing wigs and toppers long ago. They have changed my life for the better. I no longer feel insecure about how bad my hair is that’s so thin I could win a contest. I have cowlicks and my hair also is very unmanageable and difficult. Even the best hairdresser can’t do much with it. I’ve been told before my hair looks fine, and my response back is yes it is fine. They don’t get it. People mean well that don’t have to wear wigs. They can’t really understand. This is why very few people know I wear wigs or toppers. I have also had breast cancer & I don’t mention that to most people also. I have gotten strange comments like I ate wrong and it might have caused it, or it’s been years why would I even worry for a minute now of it returning. The list goes on & on.

I CHOOSE to wear wigs and, YES, I wear them for ME!! I liked your response❤ I do have thinning hair but I also enjoy wearing wigs. I like the versatility they give me. They’re convenient…they’re fun. And, honestly, I don’t care how other people feel about it😂😂😂

I wear wigs for me too. I have had people tell me that I don’t need to wear a wig. My hairline is terrible and I can’t get good haircuts. I love my wigs. I just tell those people I like my wigs and the variety. They don’t have to like what I do.

I have thin hair that is difficult to work with. I love wigs for fun and convenience. Good for you! I don’t like them in the summer because they are so hot in 90 degree weather. But in winter they are warm and cozy.

Thanks Julia! I wear wigs for me too. I have had friends and family say the same to me also. It sometimes comes as a surprise since they have seen me in wigs for years. I say thanks so much, wearing wigs has helped my bio hair so much! I do not dye it anymore, and it has finally grown long. But it is still thin and very thin on top so wigs make me feel better. That’s exactly the reason I wear and love my wigs!! I cannot find a stylist that can cut my hair in a way that I like. In fact, I’m considering getting it cut super short just so I don’t have to deal with it at all. My girls always look beautiful-throw and go-out the door.

This was a great video. I just started wearing wigs, and I have gotten more looks than ever before! Men are such funny, visual creatures. Personally, I love bald men. I am not sure why they love women with tons of long hair....must remind them of being young. Anyway, I think what makes me nervous is when a man wants to run his hands through my hair (probably best not to wear a synthetic--ha ha!). Also, there are a lot of lumps and bumps on wigs that someone would feel, and I would think this would be a turnoff or strange to some. Maybe it's best if I politely ask someone not to touch my hair, but does that ruin an intimate moment? Lots of things to think about. Thank you for this video, Julia!

This was a wonderful segment! I love your story. Like you, I was born with very fine, very blonde hair. I think my best hair was in my 20s. I just turned 52, and I started wearing wigs two months ago. I really think menopause ruined my hair. It darkened and thinned. I purchased Raquel Welch Simmer petite, and a human hair wig. My biggest struggle is finding a wig that fits my petite head and one that is very low density. Both wigs I purchased are too much hair for my petite head and overall body frame. They are also a little too blonde. Finding a good wig is like finding the perfect pair of jeans--I don't know if the perfect wig is out there! I absolutely loved this video. I so look forward to your videos each week. You are kind, honest, helpful, and I love the way you explain everything. It's wonderful! I am so happy your cancer is in remission and continues to be even though this was filmed several years ago. You are such an inspiration to me as I am sure you are to many women in the alternative hair community. 🥰

I love your wig reviews! I got my first human hair wig at 18. In a few years, I added 3 more wigs, a human hair half wig and several hair pieces. Fine, thin, hair is so much trouble. I wear a wig every day. I just wish there were more places that have a large selection of wigs to try on. I would love to have a wonderful human hair high quality wig, but I’m afraid to order one with restocking fees.

Throwback! I filmed this years ago when my Channel was named Blonde Wig Reviews. It's fun for me to watch, except that my hair on the sides looks thicker than now! Alopecia is frustrating.
